Laurasia Engineering Limited has recently welcomed Sheffield Hallam graduate, Amie Harman, as an Enhanced Mentored Intern (EMI) associate and Marketing Coordinator in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University.
The scheme enables graduates, such as Amie, to gain mentored experience in the industry. It also helps businesses to improve upon their operations and profitability and brings a fresh perspective to established businesses. The scheme is also beneficial in developing strong relationships between the University and employers. Previous EMI associate and current Project Manager at Mayflower, Joe Wright, said:
“As a previous Enhanced Mentored Intern, I appreciate the value of the scheme and the benefits that it can bring to a graduate. We are excited to welcome Amie and look forward to working with more EMIs in the future.”
Mayflower have previously worked alongside two successful EMIs, who have been continuously supported by the business to further develop on their careers. The partnership will benefit Mayflower by providing access to expert advice from the University’s highly qualified team, who will support Amie in developing on a marketing, communications and product awareness strategy for the company.
Amie said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to access expert knowledge and support from the team at Sheffield Hallam in order to advise me in creating an effective strategy for a respected local business. I look forward to the opportunities that this year will bring and to working alongside both organisations.”
